Attacking Strategy with Low Level Heroes

If you watch attacking replays and lots of tutorials in YouTube Channels or in Clan War, many attacks look very easy. The thing is that most of them utilize maxed Heroes – so what do you do if you don’t have high-level Heroes or maybe one of your Heroes is upgrading right now? This requires some adaption in your attacking game, and I want to show you some ways in this guide.

Problem With Lower Heroes

Heroes are massive attacking monster and they can take out a big part of a base on their own. If you simply take a look at the raw numbers, you’ll see the difference. If you compare a level 20 Hero with the stats of a maxed Hero, you’ll see that they deal almost twice the damage and have almost twice as many hitpoints. No surprise they are changing the outcome of an attack.

A maxed Archer Queen with activated ability can destroy a Town Hall with 5 shots, while her Level 20 counterpart needs almost 12 shots (and runs out of the ability before that happens).

The Queen Walk With a low-level Queen

Many use a part of the attack called the Queen Walk. This uses the Archer Queen with 4-5 Healers to clear out a big part of the base, pull and kill the Clan Castle Troops and potentially wipe out the defending Heroes

In the replays this looks so easy to do, but only if you have an Archer Queen Level 30+. If you’re doing it with an Archer Queen Level 15, you’ll have a hard time doing it, because you have to carefully watch her health and also use more Rage Spells to keep her up.

Attacking tips

When it comes to attacking, you have to always be aware to not use an attacking strategy that needs you to use the Archer Queen to go for the Town Hall!

Like mentioned in the beginning, your Queen might not be strong enough if there are defenses or maybe even defending Heroes left.

You will need to make attacks that work with the Heroes within your kill squat. I recommend using either LaLoon or GoWiPe

Upgrading Your Heroes

Upgrading your heroes is a pain. Not only does it cost a fortune, but you’ll also will not be able to use them during that period, and you’ll miss them in Clan War a lot. In my opinion, that’s the reason so many have those crippled Heroes in TH10 or TH11 – and for myself it’s the same. I would have maxed them by now if I could use them in Clan War during the upgrading period

Anyway, you have to do it sooner or later. Here’s my recommended minimum required Hero levels per Town Hall:

• Town Hall 9: You should have your Heroes at Level 15 until you think about going to TH10
• Town Hall 10: Make sure you have the Heroes at least at Level 25, better Level 30 before you move to TH11
• Town Hall 11: If your Heroes are not Level 30, you need to do anything you can to get them there as soon as possible
